Workshops: Complementary Colours

In November FEPS ran a workshop on complementary colours to tie in with our set subject competition happening later in the season. The evening was organised by FEPS member Catherine Allen with amazing help from a small group of club members. The evening began with a short talk on complementary colours by Catherine, slideshow below.

After the talk the club members were let loose on four different studio set ups with a variety of objects and backgrounds in various colours with which to unleash their creative abilities! Plus a large table of substitute options when looking to try something new.

At the end of the evening we had a quick look at some of the set ups created by the members and had a discussion as to how well they worked and if they met the complementary colours brief. Hopefully everyone who took part went home full of inspiration for their entries for the up-coming set subject competition in March!

A big thank you to Catherine and her helpers for putting together a thoughtful, inspiring and, most importantly, fun workshop.
