- An interesting and informative programme of events, including access to high quality photographers who present their work to members, providing inspiration and information about their work.
- Club members run a range of outings to London, the local area and further afield. As a group we support and learn from each other at these events. There is nothing more informative than seeing the approach that other photographers use when taking images.
- A range of social events are held during the year giving members an opportunity to meet up and chat about photography and other hobbies!
- Our weekly club meetings gives the membership a regular forum to learn, discuss and explore photography on different levels depending on the weekly focus.
- Photographic competitions are great opportunities to hear objective feedback on your images from experienced judges and to learn from the top tips that are often given to improve images.
- FEPS has an excellent reputation locally and nationally. The club participates in a range of local and national external competitions and performs very well against other camera clubs. The work of members is showcased in these competitions.
- One of FEPS’ unique selling points is that we actively support members to use their camera more creatively. Each year experienced members run a series of tutorials and workshops that teach interested members how to make the best use of their camera, whether this is more creative use of shutter speed settings or using the camera in full manual mode. Additionally, we run workshops that demonstrate post-processing techniques and the process of how to print an image.
- Each year we hold an annual Photographic Exhibition and all members are encouraged to take this opportunity to exhibit their work for the general public to view.
- FEPS is a friendly, sociable club and our members are helpful and supportive of each other as we all work to improve our photography skills.
