6          FEPS Freshers
Welcome to the start of the new season.
Prospective members can get an idea of what we do at Field End; existing members can revisit some highlights of last season; and all can meet and greet.
Some of our organisers will introduce themselves and give an idea of how the club works and share some of the highlights for the coming season.
Subscriptions are due tonight.

13       Speaker: Mara Leite – My Journey into photography
Mara will be showing a range of her work including Street and landscape images.

20       Competition: Projected Open No. 1
Our first digital projected competition of the season. Judge to be announced on the evening. Up to 3 entries allowed. See important notes earlier in the booklet for entry size, rules and format.

27       Competition: Print Open No. 1
The first print competition of the season. Judge to be announced on the evening.
Up to 2 entries allowed Maximum mount size 40 x 50 cm. Please take note of rules.

OCTOBER

4         External Competition : NW Fed at Home
Field End PS against Stoke Poges and Croxley
Judge to be announced on the evening.

11       Workshop : Camera Craft
An evening of learning is planned to help you produce better images

18       Speaker: George Johnson
Editor of “Photographing London”, George is a very accomplished photographer, tonight we will see some of his images and hear how he goes about taking them.

NOVEMBER

1          External Competition: PAGB Rosebowl Round 1
Field End PS against Princes Risborough PS, Oxford PS and Buckingham.   Judge to be announced on the evening.

15       Speaker: Simon Turnbull
Simon will be showing us some of his woodland images from around Ashridge and surrounding areas.

22       Competition: Norma Bateman Rosebowl

29       An evening at the Woodman
We will have a Speaker on Zoom for this evening, further details to be announced. Held at the Woodman Pub, Joel Street, Northwood Hills HA5 2PR

7          Speaker: Matthew Maran
Matthew is a published author, his photography takes him to urban locations in search of wildlife and landscapes, he will share his journey with us tonight.

21       Studio Evening: Brian Worley,
Portraiture Photography with models
Brian impressed us last year when he showed us how to take studio images, we are having the same again so bring your cameras.

The second of our set subject competitions of the season. The subject is “Ancient and Modern”.

6          Competition: Print Open No. 5

13       Interclub Competition: “Match a PDI”
Pinner and Ealing clubs will join us for a fun evening of match a projected digital image, each club will attempt to match the others image, the best match gets the point.

20       Members’ Evening : AV Show and Panel Workshop
A chance to put your images to music or spoken words. Also, a workshop to help guide you through the process of making a panel of images.

27       Competition: Projected Set Subject No. 3
The final set subject competition of the season. The subject is “Texture”.

APRIL

3          Speaker: Jenifer Bunnett – Landscape
Jenifer has an amazing ability to shoot landscape images in fine detail and beautiful light. She will show her favourite images and give us an insight to how they are made.

10        Competition: Projected Open No. 4  
The final Projected Open Competition. Judge to be announced on the evening.

17       Competition: Print of the Year
Bring along your monochrome prints to compete for the Jewell Cup, and colour prints for the Bison Shield.
Judge to be announced on the evening.
Up to two entries allowed for each trophy.

24       Members’ Evening
One of our greatest assets is our membership, Claire Thornton and Craig Bellis will be inspiring you with their images and creativity.

MAY

1          Speaker: Mark Gilligan Landscape
Mark is a professional landscape photographer, his images will inspire and his talk will inform you on the techniques he uses.

8         Members’ Evening: “Match a PDI”
Our very own match a projected digital image and time for a bit of fun, we will have three teams competing to get the best match.

15       Mike Martin – Shooting People
Mike will chart his journey into creative portraits, discussing how to get started, the value of collaboration with others, thoughts, of composition and style, the importance of shooting for yourself, all illustrated with prints on Fotospeed papers and ink.   He will also show how to make some creative images, including “before and after” shots, in an attempt to demystify and inspire.

19        Field End ExhibitionAnnual General Meeting
Our very own exhibition full of your great pictures.
Bring your family and friends. Open daily at the Cow Byre Ruislip HA4 7SU from 10 till 5. Last day 01 of June 10 till 3.

22        Annual General Meeting
Please show that you care about Field End PS by attending this important evening. The new committee will be elected and it is your chance to share your views and ideas about the running of the Society.

29       Members Evening – Short Talks
Our members will be showing some of their work and give an insight into what inspires them to take pictures.

JUNE

1        Last chance to see the exhibition, open 10 till 3.

5 Competition: Projected Digital Image of the Year
The season’s best projected images will be on display as the competition takes place. Judge to be announced on the evening.
Note: Entries must be numbered in order of preference. If the competition is oversubscribed the number of entries per member may be reduced from the maximum of three.

12       Competition: Three Print Panel
Each panel competes for The Edith King Memorial Trophy.A panel should consist of three prints, which are linked by a common theme or consistency of style. Prints should be numbered in the order in which they are to be presented.
Each print panel will be judged on: composition, lighting, techniques used, print quality, cohesion and panel presentation.
Judge to be announced on the evening.

19       Speaker: Bill Ward – Creative Landscapes
Bill is a man of many talents, photography being one of them, he will show us a range of photography skills and images.

26       Social Evening and Presentation of Awards
An enjoyable way to finish our season with a buffet and presentation of all the season’s trophies, Held at the Woodman Pub, Joel Street, HA5 2PR.
