THE TRIP IS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY IN “EVENING LIGHTING”
We aim to meet at 3:00pm–3:30pm below HUNGERFORD BRIDGE on SOUTH BANK. (For those who are not familiar with the area take the METROPOLITAN LINE to Baker Street, and go down the escalators to the SOUTHBOUND BAKERLOO LINE, and exit at EMBANKMENT STATION. Go to the surface and leave the station at the North Bank side—go up the bridge (to your right) and walk across the bridge. we will be meeting underneath the Bridge on the South bank) We may get a setting sun, and / or the blue hour. We want to explore the old favourite of LEAKE STREET TUNNEL with it’s vast array of graffiti / art. We will then explore the stalls on the South Bank, the lighting on the North Bank, and reflections in the River. Evening refreshments will be sought.
On some trips we’ve added a short bonus extension for a few members. On this Trip we are “adding an extension” BEFORE the main menu. For this session we will meet at 12 noon at LIVERPOOL STREET STATION —BISHOPSGATE EXIT. We will visit Trumans, Brick Lane, Spitalfields markets. (Possible sandwich bar and coffee). After that we will move on (via the DISTRICT LINE) to meet the others underneath the HUNGERFORD BRIDGE (near the Royal Festival Hall)
All outing dates are subject to change due to transport strike action or adverse weather. Members can join the ‘Field End outings’ WhatsApp group to keep in touch about travel issues and meeting places.
