An accomplished street and portrait photographer, Chloe will share her tips and strategies for getting into the process of slowing down, looking and framing moments.

25   Speaker: Mara Leite – Astro and Night-time photography
We are delighted to welcome Mara back to the club for an illuminating presentation on this fascinating topic. Mara is renowned for her spectacular images in which light and colour transform urban and rural landscapes into unforgettable images.

OCTOBER 2024

2    Workshop: Night-time Photography
Now it’s your chance to try out night time photography. We will check out the local area and use the inspiration and techniques from the Mara Leite talk last week.

9 Members Evening: My Picture My Story – Change to original programme

Rupert is an award-winning street photographer, who has published two books and hosts the influential Street View YouTube channel.

20    Speaker: Antony Zacharias – Long Exposure
Antony will be sharing his extensive knowledge of long exposure photography together with images from his impressive portfolio of cityscapes and images taken after dark.

Projected digital competition. The subject this year is “Golden” to celebrate FEPS 50th Anniversary. Judge to be announced on the evening.

19  Studio Evening: Brian Worley, Portraiture Photography with models
Brian impressed us last year when he showed us how to take studio images, we are having the same again so bring your cameras for a fun evening working with professional models.

This includes the Phone Photography Competition (which all FEPS members can enter without involvement of the Selection Committee)

30    Competition: Print of the Year
Bring along your monochrome prints to compete for the Jewell Cup, and colour prints for the Bison Shield. Judge to be announced on the evening.
Up to two entries allowed for each trophy.

MAY 2025

7    Speaker: Sophie Carr – The Wilds of Scotland
Sophie will be sharing her love of rugged landscapes and wild weather in this entertaining talk aboutthe captivating images to be found in Scotland

14    Members’ Evening: “Match a PDI”
Our in-house match a projected digital image and time for a bit of fun. Three teams will compete to get the best match.

18    Field End Exhibition
Our very own exhibition full of your great pictures. Bring your family and friends. 
Open daily at the Cow Byre Ruislip HA4 7SU from 10 till 5.
Last day 31st May 10 till 3.

21    Speaker: Mark Banks – Landscape
A highly regarded landscape photographer, creative artist and educator, Mark loves nothing more than to share both his passion for capturing the beauty of nature and his enthusiasm for printing the final image.

28    Annual General Meeting
Please show that you care about Field End PS by  attending this important evening. The new committee will be elected and it is your chance to share your views and ideas about the running of the Society.

JUNE 2025

4    Competition: Projected Image of the Year
The season’s best projected images will be on display as the competition takes place. Judge to be announced on the evening. 
Note: Entries must be numbered in order of preference. If the competition is oversubscribed the number of entries per member may be reduced from the maximumof three.

11    Competition: Three Print Panel
Each panel competes for The Edith King Memorial Trophy. A panel should consist of three prints, which are linked by a common theme or consistency of style.
Prints should be numbered in the order in which they are to be presented. Each print panel will be judged on: composition, lighting, techniques used, print quality, cohesion and panel presentation.
Judge to be announced on the evening.

18    Speaker: Eddie Hyde FRPS– Motion Capture
Eddie will present a talk aimed at helping you switch up your repertoire by incorporating the creativeuse of shutter speed.

25    Social Evening, AV videos and Presentation of Awards 
An enjoyable way to finish our season with a buffet and presentation of all the season’s trophies,held at the Woodman Pub, Joel Street, HA5 2PR.

JULY & AUGUST 2025

No official programme but why not link up with fellow photographers from Field End using our Instagram orFacebook apps? 
Head out and about to take photographs or visit some exhibitions for inspiration during the summer months.
