FEPS Outing Sunday 6 September 2026 Hanwell – Three Bridges 

Start Time: 11:00am

Start Location: 483 Bus stop Windmill Lane  (Nearby bus routes: SL8, 92, 427, 282). 

Walking distance: 1-2 miles (depending on your interest)

Recommended Gear: Prime, Telephoto, normal  Lens & Tripod 

PLACES OF INTEREST COVERED:

We start our journey outside Burnham-on-Crouch station and we have outline below the following points of interest on the way:
 
–  Three Bridges (canal, rail and road bridge cross over each other)
–  Walk along grand union canal
–  Hanwell Locks (various locks with side ponds)
–  Asylum Dock (Old Mental Asylum – now derelict)
–  Point where River Brent meets Grand Union Canal
–  Bird Photography (ducks, coots, swans, dragon flies, etc). 
–  Industrial building on Grand Union Canal.
–  Under bridge Graffiti and murals
–  Pub meal (3-4pm)
– There is a potential for an extension after the pub meal for those interested, with a convenient bus route for return.
 

This trip is weather dependent; in the event of heavy and/or persistent rain, this trip will be postponed.
